Hakka Study Achievement Zone

Hakka Affairs Council and Hakka Culture Development Center have held a number of important activities and published many promotional materials and publications in the past years. Some examples are:

  1. Subsidy for universities to set up Hakka academic study institutes
  2. Grants to research projects on Hakka academic studies
  3. Grants to excellent theses and dissertations on Hakka studies
  4. Research projects commissioned by Hakka Affairs Council
  5. Subsidy to local governments for promoting Hakka culture and people and ecology
  6. General survey on Hakka village culture and resources
  7. In-depth investigation on Hakka village culture and resources
  8. Hakka Affairs Council Publications
  9. Hakka Culture Development Center Publications

Library Zone

Collected here are Hakka-related Western text books, reference books, papers, research reports, etc.

Periodicals Zone

Collected here are Hakka-related periodicals

Reading Zone

Reading desks with 2 chairs and 4 chairs are provided here. Every seat is equipped with a socket and provided with wireless Internet service for the use of laptop or tablet computers.

Computer Search Zone

ICC library catalog and Hakka-related electronic resources are provided here.

Newspaper Zone

Bilingual newspapers in Chinese and English are provided here.

Audiovisual Zone

Various types of Hakka-related audio-visual materials are collected here. A music appreciation zone is set up, in which there are a personal audio-visual room, a three-person audio-visual room, a small audio-visual room (accommodating 7 people) and an audio-visual auditorium (accommodating 36 people).

Research Cell

Readers can use the library materials to do Hakka-related research here.

Discussion Room

Each room can accommodate up to 6 people and is equipped with whiteboard, projection screen, and so on to facilitate readers to conduct academic research and group discussions.
