園區簡介
將傳統融入現代，臺灣接軌全球的臺灣客家文化館
臺灣客家文化館位於苗栗銅鑼科學園區內，於101年5月12日正式開園，定位為全球客家文化及產業之交流與研究中心，供為文化保存、產業發展與觀光交流之平台，園區設計表達客家人尊重自然天性，建築依勢而建，間接展現客家遷徙移民的生活態度。建築設計更符合九大綠建築指標，獲得「黃金級綠建築標章」，是一座兼具綠色環保與節能減碳的文化設施。
園區設置常設展示區、特展館（第一~五特展室）、客家貢獻館、客家圖書資料中心、國際會議廳及多媒體影音劇場等設施，具備展示客家、典藏客家、研究客家、產業客家及多元文化教育推廣等功能。因應文化館舍發展趨勢，各展區跳脫過往以史料及文物展示之傳統經營模式，結合多媒體、展演、體驗及活動等多元互動之策展方式，展現豐富、精采絢麗之客家文化，引領民眾走入客家文化的縮影當中。
臺灣客家文化館依基地所在的丘陵起伏地形設計，規劃有戶外空間、主展館區及附屬設施，以廣場及環繞基地四周的步道動線將區域作和緩的連結，同時將建築物視為整體景觀的一部分，園區等相關設施被水與綠景紋路所構成的人工山丘所包覆，創造出梯田景觀的意象。
主展館區為園區主要空間，從園區入口空橋可通往2樓常設展區，透過展示手法紀錄臺灣客家移民動人的故事、1樓有多媒體互動展示區；四周的特展區則以不同客家魅力元素為主題，規劃有第一~五特展室等空間，映照著傳承與創新客家文化的深刻意涵；園區附屬設施包括可供親子同樂的DIY體驗區及研習教室空間，研習教室旁的好客劇場多媒體影音劇場，讓您觀賞動人的客家影片。
階梯廣場的主舞台區規劃有透過客家音樂、社團匯演等不同形態的藝文表演活動，引領觀眾貼近客家文化；沿著主舞台後方的散步道，可以走到具有客家意象的半月池，善用地勢打造的展望區，可遠眺銅鑼景觀；觀賞山腳下客庄聚落景觀；當您走累了，來到好客等路區和好客美食市集逛逛，行程結束前帶點客家文創商品及美食當作等路(伴手禮)，讓好(ㄏㄠˇ)客人感受客家人的好(ㄏㄠˋ)客!
