陶
苗栗陶之所以獨特，主要是產於山區的陶礦土，可耐高溫，且土質細膩不透水，儲物蓄液均可久藏。早期日本人用來製裝硫酸甕及公賣局裝紅露新醅酒甕。
相思樹
相思樹是台灣很普遍的造林樹種。木柴在高溫火燒後凝結的自然落灰釉，型塑了相思木柴燒自然落灰釉陶的美璞。
苗栗陶土+苗栗相思木+苗栗登窯，燒成的苗栗陶；搭配百年天然樟木，人天相合，散發濃濃美璞的作品，不假他求，偶然與必然間，正是在地生活美學的緣起。
