Hakka Spring Festival for 2nd day of Chinese New Year in 2015.

Miaoli Hakka Cultural Park will arrange a series of programs to make your Chinese New Year holidays rich and wonderful. Starting from 9:30 on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, or February 20, large and small celebration events will be offered in every corner of the Park. Limited-edition fortune bags will be distributed at the first floor of Exhibition Hall during the period between 10:50 and 11:10. Offer is subject to availability, please seize the opportunity.
Celebration for Spring Festival
From February 19 to February 23, or the 1st to 5th day of Chinese New Year, the Miaoli Hakka Cultural Park will offer you programs with different themes:
[1st day of Chinese New Year] Dragon dance performances by Taiwan Fei Horng Goan
[2nd day of Chinese New Year] Starting from 10:00, Zhuolan National Experimental High School will perform dragon dance and then the Hsinchu Symphonic Band and Golden Melody Hakka singer Zeng Ya-jun will play music and sing songs for you.
[3rd day of Chinese New Year] The Zhen Zong Performing Art Troupe will present to you folk art parade uniquely found in Taiwan.
[4th day of Chinese New Year] The Andean Orchestra from Inca region perform exotic music and dance.
[5th day of Chinese New Year] The Cosmos People Band will perform unique funk dance and transboundary music.
Good Luck Games
In addition to the wonderful and rich performances, the Park will also prepare a series of fun games, namely "Treasure search fun for Spring Festival,” "Spring Festival of Year of Goat,” "Say auspicious words in Hakka language,” "Hakka frolic," "Pick a fortune bag to make yourself rich in Year of the Goat," "Painting DIY experience" and "Good tastes from Hakka villages." Winners may get "a key ring for Year of Goat" and/or the Park's unique "red envelopes printed version."
Hakka Spring Festival
In addition to the series of activities held for the 1st to 5th day of Chinese New Year, the Miaoli Park will also offer a series of wonderful activities on February 28 (Sat), March 1 (Sun), and March 8 (Sun). For example, new programs will be shown at Story Theatre and Multimedia Theater of Children's Museum.

On the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, if you take a picture in the Park and send it to Facebook. Show the message to our staff at #4 Information Desk on the first floor between 09: 30 and 10: 30, you will be given a new-year gift. |

Painting DIY experience |
Parents and Children do the painting together. Two sessions per event. Free on-site registration 15 minutes before the event. 40 groups per session (at least 2 people in a group). Availability is limited. |
