A Vast Expanse of Fertile Land — Special Exhibition for Neipu Hakka Village

Liudui is an area that exists in reality but is not shown on the map.

Neipu is now a quiet and restrained settlement that has once led Liudui to its glory.

People are used to equate "Neipu" with "Rear Dui," but it should not the only explanation.

"A Vast Expanse of Fertile Land - Special Exhibition for Neipu Hakka Village" showcases the documentary records of how each ethnic group has conducted land reclamation in Pingtung Plain and the wisdom of our ancestors on how to survive in the face of natural threats and pressure. It also introduces us to the culture of Hakka people, the main ethnic group living in Neipu Township, by witnessing their old buildings, beliefs and religions, crafts and life taste. Moreover, such presentations as "Worship Ceremony to King Wenxuan (Confucius)," "Han-Yu Cultural Festival" and "Cradle of Baseball Game - Meihou" show us the cultural heritage in which the Hakka people work hard, love to learn and tend to work together as a team.

This exhibition intends to guide you through the reclamation history and living culture and activities of ordinary people, so that you can learn more about this pluralistic Hakka village and settlement - Neipu.
